The things you forget...

so it has really only been a few short months since avery hasn't been on the bottle or formula. Or even taking more than one nap, but man does it feel like its been FOREVER!

I started watching an almost 9 month old today. Good thing he is very laid back, as mr. cranky pants reared his cute head! Over all the day went pretty well. But this little boy is still on a bottle and well Avery wanted it! I had to ask the mom when she called how often she gave him a bottle, I also think at this time Avery didn't have as many bottles. Plus I forgot to ask how long his naps are and mom and dad both have different answers! I will now be making up my own questionaire for parents to fill out with more information than what the state asks. That way I will know for sure, but is also different when its not your own kid.

Avery was always the easy going baby. Still is most of the time....except for these darn molars! He stopped the bottle no problem, switched to milk without a hitch, and is pretty independent for a almost 14 month old!(btw, where did my baby go?) I find myself comparing, even when I know I shouldn't and I know that each child develops at their own time. Still hard regardless...but I really hate when people compair avery to other kids his age...b/c it makes me feel like a I failed in some way. But I know that he is a smart and very good child. I don't know what I did, but hey it worked!

At least now Avery will get used to having another child around when we decide to have another one someday. It might take all week for him to get used to it, but I need to be up for the challenge! He gets a bit jealous when I change his diaper, hold him, or give him his bottle. I'm hoping by the end of the week, it will be nothing to him. Its hard to carry 2 22lb babies down or up the stairs. Then to figure out who is going into the crib first...aah the life of a daycare provider/mother. At least now I can make a little extra money and that will help us out! Plus I like this family, I've worked with them before at my previous job with their older son and maybe come school vacations or summer I will have him as well! Just some more money in the bank for us!
