a break from cabin fever...

Both of the boys I watch were out mon and tuesday. One is still out until next monday...so I took FULL advantage of this.

On Monday, Avery and I met up with Amy, Gracie, Carter, Jamie, and Cameron at a place called Noodle, Noggin, N' Bean. It was basically like a children's museum with different rooms for the kids to play in. I found them to be quite busy, but the kids all seemed to have fun there. They got to drop/watch a golf ball do down a maze, play in a ball pit, on a seesaw, played in the water table, climbed on big wooden pirate ships and firetrucks. They also liked the music room. There was both fine and gross motor activities. It was pretty neat just wish it wasn't an hour away!

We then decided to get something to eat before trecking home. I had brought along some Friendly's coupons so we decided to go there. We thought we were being VERY brave for taking 3-2 yr olds and a 3 month old out to eat...and boy were we! The kids were very good despite the HOUR long wait for food. We got right in to a table, waited for our drinks, and then the grueling hour...the boys were getting antsy and poor gracie was falling asleep in her booster seat. we let the boys play in the corner and we were about to walk out when our food FINALLY came. we ate in 30 mins left our money and walked out. No one ever apologized for it taking so long and they weren't that busy when we got there. it was HORRIBLE service. the manager even gave amy a hard time b/c she asked for silverware! Next time we will just go to mcdonalds!

Tuesday was another trek in the car about 1-1.5 away. My brother works at the Marriott in Fitchburg where they just opened a new indoor waterpark. He was able to get us some free tickets. Thank you Uncle Jason!

After picking up my younger brother and sister at school we finally made it there. Poor Avery was stuck in the car for 2 hrs, but like always he was very good and glad to see Uncle Brandon and "olly". he kept looking for and asking for Amy as well and Jo(my mom).

Avery wasn't thrilled about the water at first...it was loud and a lot to see and do. We tried to get him in the water but he wanted me to carry him. Not so easy to do being 8 months pregnant. We sent Brandon off to go down the big water slides and we decided to eat lunch to give Avery time to warm up to the idea. well that worked! he loved watching the BIG bucket of water fall when it go full, Jason passed through a couple times to say hi and asked how we liked it.

Then Brandon showed avery how to splash by cupping his hands...I bet he later regretted this. He also went down a small water slide, he rode on the lazy river with Holly, was fascinated with a water gun type thing for a good 30 mins..no lie! He then got to see Coco the parrot who is the mascot of the place. He was FASCINATED by him and followed him around. He even gave him a hug. We then had to get going to meet my mom and he was an unhappy little boy crying "water" as we left. I said we would come back again, but we needed to go see jo. So off we went!

It was SO nice to get out of the house, but they were 2 totally exhausting days! stay tuned for pictures!(or check out myspace/facebook!)
